Welcome Parents, Guardians, and Students
It is indeed a pleasure to welcome all of our returning students and our new students to the 2013-2014school year! The teachers and staff are excited and look forward to sharing many academic experiences with our students. As principal of Swainston Middle School, I want all of our students to be ready for learning and engaged in their classrooms. As we send our children to their new teachers, and for many to a new school, I hope that you will join me in setting high expectations from day one: high expectations for challenging and engaging instruction, for strong and regular communication from teachers and the school, and most importantly high expectations for what your child can achieve this year.
The first day of school will be Monday, August 26th. Prior to this date, we will have our annual “Back to School Peek”. The dates have been scheduled for Wednesday, August 21 (5:30-7:00 pm) and Friday, August 23 (9:00-11:30 am). Parents/guardians will be able to pick up student’s schedules, pre-pay for physical education uniforms, required composition notebooks/materials and course fees at this time. Please understand that we will only be equipped to receive cash at this event (no bills larger than 20 will be accepted). Students can also pay fees beginning the second day of school
